Saskia Nije, general manager of the Nijdra Group, explains: “We noticed that many of our costumers with medical, biomedical and pharmaceutical equipment have been tightening their quality requirements during the last years. In order to be able to continue serving these costumers well, we decided to obtain the certificate for all our business units.”
Dennis van Dijk, sales manager: “Being certified means that we can offer a broader service to our existing clients that require this certificate for the supply of their products, modules and complete machines. It also opens doors to new contacts in the biomedical, medical and pharmaceutical industries. It already resulted in attracting new costumers in and outside the Netherlands.”
Leo van der Linde, quality manager adds: “Our machine factory in Heerhugowaard had already been certified in 2011 for manufacturing and assembling precision components for medical purposes. Along the same lines, now we obtained certification for the entire organization. Actually, we had already been working this way for a number of costumers. Although they formally demanded ISO 9001, the actual quality requirements were ISO 13485. This experience helped to successfully complete the certification in the short term.”
